When you consider the previous was over nine hours in length it was going to require an almost super human feat. Chidera Anamege has never been one to shy away from a challenge, even one this big. While he may have been disappointed to not earn an inaugural O Music Award, he managed to do the unthinkable. He succeeded in Chiddy style.
Chiddy Bang is now the new world record holder for Freestyle Rap. He kept his voice intact and moving for 9 hours 18 minutes and 22 seconds. It is unlikely anyone is going to feel compelled to chase this record anytime soon. The previous record holder, Indianapolis rapper M-Eighty, freestyle rapped for 9 hours 15 minutes and 15 seconds. Where these men get this ability to rap non-stop is a true mystery.
The first 9 hour record was held by Supernatural an underground Emcee with an amazing ability to keep freestyle going and going. chrysler He set a record of just over 9 hours. Prior to Supernatural the record had been held by Canadian Rapper D.O. who hammered out 8 hours 45 minutes of rock solid freestyle rap. Chiddy should be extremely proud of himself at his amazing accomplishment. He may not be able to tell anyone about his excitement for a few days. The likely outcome is going to be extreme hoarseness or complete loss of voice for a few days. A small price to pay for the notoriety, publicity, and added fame this event will bring to Chiddy Bang and their music.
Peanut Butter and Swelly Riding on the Wave of a Win O Music Awards was not only going to be the showcase for Chiddy Bang to prove his non-stop mouth could go for over 9 hours. Xaphoon Jones and Chiddy are releasing their latest mix tape this week, too. The Peanut Butter and Swelly mix tape is going to have triple publicity as it surfaces to the world. It is riding on the news surrounding the O Music Awards, Chiddy's new world record, and the excitement of hearing new sounds from Chiddy and Xaphoon. Expect this to be the hottest mix tape in circulation over the next few days, one you should grab for a listen.
Noah Beresin, one of Chiddy's other partners, brought out their never before released single to celebrate Chiddy's celebration, but Chiddy couldn't stop himself from continuing to freestyle. He kept on going as the O Music Award rolled the credits to end the show. Other Exciting Mix Tape Releases Getting Hidden in the Background Chiddy Bang was not the only one to drop a new mix tape on us this week. N.O.R.E out of Queens released their N.O.R.E. aster EP on Easter Sunday. It features the Neptunes, Dre, and Scram Jones. Their effort may have just been brushed into the background as Chiddy Bang rides this new wave of publicity.
